Connecti joins the Print on Demand Initiative (PODi)
Connecti joins forces with US based PODi to help develop UK market
August 2003

Connecti Ltd, the leading digital marketing provider, proven to deliver reduced marketing costs and increased ROI, today announced it has been invited to join the Print on Demand Initiative (PODi), a not-for-profit organisation focused on developing the digital print industry through market education and development of software standards. Connecti joins industry leaders such as Adobe, EFI, HP, IBM, NexPress, Pitney Bowes and Xerox.

PODi is focused on promoting the interoperability of commercial printing and variable data printing hardware and software technologies. Connecti, the UK leader in marketing automation technology, will help further the development of marketing solutions across the lifecycle of artwork rich marketing communication materials from creation to distribution.

John McHugh, Sales & Marketing Director, Connecti says, "By participating in the print on demand initiative, Connecti will gain access to the leading market research on the requirements of the variable digital printing industry. As part of this program, Connecti also gains the ability to work with other key players in defining the architecture and standards for the technology that will drive this promising new marketplace. We believe that working with PODi will be crucial to the success of Connecti’s new brandFAST application for the dynamic publishing of customised marketing materials.

Rab Govil, president of PODi said, "We are very pleased that Connecti has become a member of PODi and that they will be presenting their digital collateral solution at our London Digital Print Applications Forum in October," said Rab Govil, president of PODi. "As PODi looks to expand its reach outside of the U.S. the participation of leaders like Connecti will be important to furthering the growth of the digital printing industry."
